Just like an individual who comes in this world with nothing on his name, grows up in an environment and develops qualities with the passage of time when he/she interact with the people and surrounding. Similarly very few are born with qualities of a good leader. People have to develop certain skills to become great leaders. However, gaining the right environment an individual can train their minds to develop good leadership skills.
Good leaders are not easy to found. A good leader is a leader who gets things done and makes his group to get things done efficiently and effectively. Following are some of the qualities of a good leader:
Good leader are never reactive rather they are proactive. They get the idea of the things which are required and set plan to avoid any kind of interruption to get things done. Good leaders are well aware of their group members’ individual skills and he calls in members at the right time. He always tries to seek team participation and to keep its members moral high.
Good leader are well aware of their members and not only know about their strengths and weaknesses but also their weaknesses. They act as mentor and provide opportunity to their members to develop their skills. They also give chance to their group members to express their views to get different points of views to take proper decision. They don’t impose their decision on others but work with team participation. They always try to find out new trainings and platforms to only strengthen the strengths of their members but also to convert their weakness to strengths.
They take care of their team members fully and even assist them to resolve their personal issues. Good leader don’t give tough time to their team members and give them confidence to share their issues easily. Good leaders are very flexible and have good character. They are also very committed and loyal.
Another quality of a good leader is that he knows very well that he does not know everything and before taking any decision he not only take views of his team members but also gathers all the relevant information. Good leaders have good vision and creative enough to survive in this competitive world. They constantly seek and identify new opportunities and work on those possibilities to get fruitful results.
They are very adaptive to change and can easily adjust them by accepting it as a challenge. They always adapt new and latest techniques to keep them up to date. Another main feature of a Good Leader is that he spends good or bad time with his team and keeps his team’s morale high to get out of that situation.
A good leader always keeps a goal in his mind and uses his sharp memory, wisdom and brain to achieve the goal. He is always sincere with his team and develops the feeling of trustworthiness. Finally the qualities of a good leader makes him or her look great before his followers and imprint their good attitude, ideas, rules and love for his nation as a role model in paths of live.
